The Potions Classroom is very large and oval in shape and houses several rows of work tables, where students are taught how to brew potions of varying levels of difficulty.

A gloomy and dimly-lit room is where the potions master spends most of their time when not teaching. Shelves line the room, filled with books and jars containing less-than-pleasant ingredients. the Potions Master's private storage is in a small storage room through a doorway in the back of the office.

With an enormously tall ceiling, bewitched to look like the sky outside, the Ggreat hall is home to the four long House Tables, and a perpendicular staff table at the front of the hall. hundreds of Candles float in the air, and food rises up through the tables from the kitchens down below. students eat all of their meals here, and are known to spend quite a good deal of studying here as well. Every morning during breakfast, the daily owl post arrives.

Guarded by two talking stone gargoyles, the Staff Room is a safe haven from students, where Professors can relax amongst themselves.

This professor's office is located just across the hall from their classroom, and is home to some of their favorite muggle contraptions.

One of most simple classrooms in the castle, this large classroom is filled with desks. the dark and dusty space is lit with soft light from the large windows that line one of the walls.

The transfiguration professor's office is a small, yet homey one. it contains a desk and a fireplace, as well as any other items or decorations that the Professor desires.

A girl's bathroom that is seldom used because of it's primary occupant: a ghost named myrtle who died in the mid 1900's. she is best known for flooding the bathroom and her crying wails, which are what gave her the nickname of moaning myrtle. most in the school today do not know how she died.

Connected by a small staircase to the classroom upstairs, the defense against the dark Arts professor's office is a fairly large one and hosts a number of magical trinkets and useful items.

One distinguishing feature of the charm's professor's office is she sheer number of items with magical charms put on them. It is a fairly small, but very bright room, with windows and portraits lining the walls.

The defense classroom consists of rows of desks, with large bay windows on each side of the room. there is a magically-activated projector, and the other classroom decorations change with each new Professor.

With thousands of bookshelves, one can find almost anything they are looking for within the tens of thousands of books within the hogwarts library, maybe even in the restricted section if they have a permission slip from a professor.

The armory is a corridor adjacent to the trophy room. there are a bunch of suits of armor on exhibition in this corridor.

The fourth Floor bathroom is one of the more commonly used ones, as it is on the way between many student's classes. There is both a girl's and a boy's bathroom.

Magical and muggle music are taught in the hogwarts music Classroom. depending on the level of the class, one may or may not enjoy the sounds that are produced by the students here

This office is across the hall from the arithmacy classroom, and contains two floor-to-ceiling windows with stacks of books around the room.

Up a small staircase is the divination classroom, where the air is heavy with the scent of tea and the light that shines in through closed drapes is reflected off of crystal balls.

Containing even more divination-related items, the divination professor's office is located off of a small staircase beyond their classroom.

Cold, dark, and smelling of owl droppings, the owlery is located at the top of the western tower, and is where owls belonging to both the school and students make their home during the school year.

One of the oldest features at hogwarts, the clock tower chimes on the half hour and rings a small bell at the beginning and ending of classes. There is room for a couple people to stand in the space not taken up by the huge, magically powered, gears.

This large body of water is located at the south end of the castle, and is about a half a mile across. inside it you can find creatures such as the giant squid, merpeople and grindylows, none of which take too kindly to the intrusions of students who think it's a good idea to go for a swim further out. if you stick to the shore, you might be alright though.

This old hut was once where the gamekeeper resided as he tended to his duties about the grounds. now that hagrid no longer works at hogwarts, the new gamekeeper has taken up residence in this tiny little hut and made it their home, a place that they can feel safe without having to deal with students at every moment of the day.

as the name says, the forest is an area that students are not permitted to be in because of the endless dangers that lurk in the darkness. however, it's pretty plain that a large number of students do not abide by this rule at all, and they always want to see what they can find in here. noises are pretty intriguing when you hear them late at night.

The grounds of hogwarts are so vast that you never really know where they will lead you until you go out and explore every corner of the rolling emerald lawns. you can always find something new if you choose to, even if you just need to get from the castle to your herbology classes in the greenhouses, or care of magical creatures down by gamekeeper's hut.

The pitch is located at the opposite end of the school, just away from the boundary of the forest, and is almost always filled with one team or another practising for an uncoming match. but when the time comes for two houses to go up against one another, then the stands are filled with students and staff, all of whom are intent on seeing one team win over another for the cup.

Sub-board: The Quidditch Stands

Section B is for those witches and wizards who have performed crimes not nearly as heinous as those in Section A, however they're still pretty bad. Crimes range from attempted murder, torture, kidnapping, explosive potion making, the inappropriate use of dangerous magical creatures, and other dangerous things. Section B is on the levels below Section B and more towards the middle of the prison. There is still tight security but Dementors are not necessary.

Section C is for those have committed minor crimes, such as theft, assault, drug/dangerous potion dealing, magical creature and other kinds of smuggling, etc. These prisoners are located on the lower levels of the prison towards the ground level. The security is less tight and the prisoners in this section are more likely to serve shorter sentences.

With cauldrons even stacked outside in the sun, the cauldron shop boasts a sign out front that suggests they sell cauldrons of all sizes - as well as self-stirring and collapsible ones. They come in pewter, brass, copper, and even silver!

The main offices for the Magical Newspaper have been located in Diagon Alley for years. This is where all of the magic happens, so to speak, and journalists, writers, photographers and other ruthless folk make their money working inside, thrashing out stories to ruin people's lives.

This shop is quite dimly lit, and carries a number of owls available for purchase, including screech, tawny, barn, brown, and snowy owls. It also carries owl-related merchandise, such as owl treats and cages.

This shop is quite obviously a parlor which sells ice-cream. It was boarded up for several years after the disappearance of it's owner, but recently bought by a new face and reopened. The name, however, was kept in honor of the man who once ran it. It boasts outdoor tables for the shoppers to sit at.

A large bookstore located in Diagon Alley, Flourish & Blotts is filled with books stacked on ceiling-height shelves. It is the primary provider for Hogwarts textbooks, but carries many other forms of literature as well. There are occasional book-signings, and advance orders and owl delivery are also possible.

Though greatly outshined by the Weasley joke shop down the road, Gambol & Japes still attracts the occasional customer. They sell a variety of trick items and joke products, including fireworks.

Staffed by goblins, Gringott's is very large, and crafted out of marble. It's employees tend to be very foul and believe that all goblin-made treasure belongs to their race by right. However, if you have a vault filled with gold, you can come and get it out of the bank.

Madam Malkins Robes for All Occasions. Just like the name of the shop suggests, a wide variety of robes can be found here. All robes are self-ironing and self-repairing, but they also carry spangled, beautifying, slimming, fattening, lengthening, and temperature-adjusting. There are also robes for larger witches and wizards.

The menagerie is crowded and noisy, but the perfect place to journey if you're looking for the perfect pet. It sells a wide variety of creatures and their care items, including enormous purple toads, cats of every color, ravens, custard-colored furballs (probably Puffskeins), sleek, and black rats, that are rather more intelligent than normal rats.

Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C. It's quite the thing to brag, but this shop has every right. Definitely the best Wandmaker around, though some would argue, Ollivander's is the most popular destination for first years looking to receive their first wand.

Popular with sports fans, Quality Quidditch Supplies is where you'll want to head if you need a new broom, or perhaps a set of Quidditch robes. At one point, they had a full set of Chudley Cannons robes on display.

Definitely a more upscale clothing shop, it's definitely not for those without money. Though many choose Madam Malkins, Twilfil & Tattings also carries robes suitable for the school year.

A clothing shop located in Hogsmeade, Gladrags Wizard Wear definitely has it's share of... odder-styled clothing, as well. The shop has additional stores located in London and Paris.

This is the station where the scarlet Hogwarts Express pulls into after it's long journey from Platform 9 & 3/4. It's small, dark, and located on the opposite side of Hogsmeade as the castle.

A popular destination for the sweet-tooths of Hogwarts, Honeydukes sells a vast array of sugary goodness. Homemade fudge is an especially popular delight, and it's baked by the owners of the shop themselves.

A very feminine, tacky, frilly tea shop, this place is popular with budding couples, especially on Valentine's day. It's practically the pinnacle of cheesy, but many girls dream of their date taking them here.

Scrivenshaft's Quills is located on High Street and as the name suggests, a wide array of quills (and possibly parchment?) is sold here. It's useful to buy extras if yours tend to break easily. The feathers come from a variety of birds, as well.

The Hog's Head Inn is an inn and pub in the all wizarding village of Hogsmeade. The bar at the Hog's Head comprises one small , very dirty, and dingy room that has bay windows that are so encrusted with filth that you can barely see through them

Rumored to have been the most haunted building in Britain, the shrieks had nothing to do with ghosts. It's quiet nowadays, but that doesn't sway it's avid onlookers, who still insist that the 'dormant creatures' won't stay silent forever. If you want to get inside, you've got to go through the Whomping Willow, first.

The Three Broomsticks is an inn and pub in the all wizarding village of Hogsmeade. It is often warm, crowded, and a bit smoky, but clean and welcoming

Perhaps you weren't here to get to Hogwarts? Whatever the case, here are the other platforms in the station, bustling with muggles coming to and fro. But wait - did someone just disappear into a wall? Nah, you were probably only seeing things.

A dark counterpart to Flourish & Blotts, Atrium & Trium offers a wide range of Black Magic texts, Runes Stones, Divination Cards, and Voodoo Dolls.

This store specializes in all items that have to deal with Black Ritual Magic. From text books and crystals to candles and potion ingredients.

A pawn store that buys and sells many dark items for more than they are worth.

This is where Poisonous Candles are sold or even sell them back to the owner.

The Rose Thorn Inn is where dark wizards and witches stay a night or for awhile.

This store specializes in making and receiving dark divination card decks that predict the darkest parts of one's mind and desires.

An unfortunate little café that serves up wonderful salads, sandwiches, desserts, and drinks.

The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is located on the Second Level of the Ministry of Magic. This department is a combination of police and justice facilities. Offices include the Auror Office, the Improper Use of Magic Office, Wizengamot, the Magical Law Enforcement Squad, the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office, and the Detection and Confiscation of Counterfeit Defensive Spells and Protective Objects Office.

The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes is located on the Third Level of the Ministry of Magic. This department is responsible for repairing accidental magical damage in the wizarding world. Offices include the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, the Obliviator Headquarters, and the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee.

The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures is located on the Fourth Level of the Ministry of Magic. This department is divided into three divisions (the Beast Division, the Being Division, and the Spirit Division). Offices include the Goblin Liaison Office and the Centaur Liaison Office.

The Department of International Magical Cooperation is located on the Fifth Level of the Ministry of Magic. This department is an agency that attempts to get wizards from different countries to cooperate in wizarding actions both political and public. Offices include the headquarters of the International Magical Trading Standards Body, the International Magical Office of Law, and the British seats of the International Confederation of Wizards.

The Department of Magical Transportation is located on the Sixth Level of the Ministry of Magic. This department is responsible for various aspects of magical transport. Offices include the Floo Network Authority, the Broom Regulatory Control, the Portkey Office, and the Apparition Test Centre.

The Department of Magical Games & Sports is located on the Seventh Level of the Ministry of Magic. The most relaxed department (posters for favourite Quidditch teams are found tacked to the walls), deals with organizing sports events the likes of the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament.

The Atrium is located on the Eighth Level of the Ministry of Magic. The Atrium is a large hall with fireplaces up and down both long walls. Down the left-hand side of the hall are gilded fireplaces which witches and wizards can use to arrive at the Ministry. The right-hand side contains gilded fireplaces as well, and these are used for departures. The floor is polished dark wood. The ceiling is peacock blue with golden symbols moving across it. The Fountain of Magical Brethren lies halfway down the Atrium. A group of golden statues, depicting a wizard, a witch, a centaur, a goblin, and a house-elf, spout water into the surrounding pool of water. At the end of the Atrium is a set of golden gates, next to which is a security stand.

The Department of Mysteries is located on the Ninth Level of the Ministry of Magic. This Department includes rooms such as the brain room, the entrance room, the space chamber, the death chamber, the time chamber, the hall of prophecy, and the ever-locked room (love chamber).

This floor is for patients that have experienced implications involving any type of injury whether it be from a magical creature, an artifact, an attack or duel, or just a random stupid act due to a lack of judgment.

The Maternity Ward is a new addition to St. Mungo's. Opened in 2020, the Maternity Ward allows pregnant witches to come for routine check-ups and give birth in the comfort of the Wizarding Community instead of in the Muggle World.
